Find the Best Nursing Homes Nearby

I built an app to fill a market need that I experienced myself: nursinghomes.billpaetzke.com

Recently, I helped a family member get into a nursing home. However, it was difficult to find the "all-around best" nursing home. The existing web apps out there only offer sorting homes on a single criterion such as by distance or by a single quality metric. The existing apps also did not take into account the feasibility of getting Medicaid in certain locations.

I researched and analyzed the available data. And I developed an algorithm to yield the all-around best nursing homes from the perspective of a given zip code. I built the app using the Swift programming language, Swift Hummingbird server framework, HTMX, Postgres SQL database, and Heroku cloud platform.
